An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Service Engineer.
The main responsibilities will be:
· Supervision of service engineers.
· Control and execution of planned maintenance of plant at Service Centre to comply with the intervals laid down in the service manual, bulletins and service topics.
· Oversee sourcing and allocation of plant to meet contract requirements, including control, release and return of plant as well as off-hire inspections and the processing of chargeable extras.
· Ensure all plant tooling, lifting and measuring equipment is maintained, calibrated and inspected according to the appropriate procedures.
· Ensure repair of equipment is actioned promptly in order to maintain maximum availability in a cost effective manner.
· Monitor and control logistic punctuality.
· Promotion and monitoring of health and safety activities.
· Technical support to service engineers, depot staff and customers.
· Be on “call” out of hours as and when required.
· Assisting with interviewing of job applicants.
· Conducting regular team briefings and ensuring effective internal communications.
· Maintaining team discipline, observing time keeping and absence.
· Ensuring safety clothing and equipment is used at all times and that all safety procedures and practices are adhered to and that the highest standards of housekeeping are maintained.
· Conducting performance reviews for team members, identifying training needs and actioning training plans, including highlighting performance shortfalls and implementing corrective actions.
· Any other duties commensurate with the role as reasonably requested by your line manager.
